A film like an ultramarathon race to complete. Old school rapper’s λ.ο.σ. lyrics from his “Darkness is not Black” track, written in places all over Greece. The actions were filmed and ultimately edited in the form of an animated lyric video.
Filming and editing took 18 months. The distance between the farthest locations that the lyrics were handwritten is 820 kilometres. Sites were chosen for their poetics, their symbolism or/and their significance, as well as to correspond with the lyrics.
Plenty of friends accompanied the expeditions to support the mission. In much sense, the film resembled the ethics and aesthetics of 114 graffiti crew from the late 90s.
The music video was invited to be screened at London Rocks Film Festival, Grenoble Street Art Film Festival, and Artist’s Television Access in San Francisco. It was also featured at Brooklyn Street Art which suggested to add it to the ‘graffiti Hall of Fame records books -since such film had never existed before: like a whole song animated lyrics, priorly handwritten in big scale in physical spaces.
